Responsibilities
Direct the planning and implementation of all IT operations, including data centers, servers, storage, and telephony systems
Lead the evolution of the environment from on-premise legacy systems to a secure, high-performance hybrid cloud architecture
Enforce network and systems security measures; lead system hardening efforts specifically aligned with NIST 800-53 controls to protect sensitive healthcare data
Establish and monitor performance metrics (SLAs/KPIs) for the Help Desk and Network teams to ensure consistent, 'white-glove' user support
Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets and act as the primary technical liaison for vendors, ensuring contract compliance and service integrity
Lead meetings to identify infrastructure risks and develop mitigation plans; translate complex technical issues for non-technical executive stakeholders
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a multi-disciplinary IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical discipline
Maintain exhaustive documentation of network mapping, configurations, and service records to satisfy federal audit requirements
Qualification
Required
7+ years in a hybrid (on-prem and cloud) IT operations environment, with at least 5 years in a technology-focused company
3+ years of direct supervisory experience managing technical teams
HIPPA compliance experience
3+ years of hands-on data center management experience (physical and virtualized)
Expert ability to facilitate technical discussions with non-technical audiences and translate business needs into IT requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Preferred
Proven track record of successfully migrating on-premise services to hybrid or cloud-based environments
Experience dealing with FedRAMP
Direct experience implementing and managing security controls based on NIST 800-53
Senior Certifications: CCNP (Cisco), CISSP, CISM, ITIL, or PMP
Background in Healthcare IT or government contracting (CMS/HHS environments)
Proficiency in Cisco networking, Fortinet security, and Azure/AWS cloud administration
