Video Production & Content Assistant

Responsibilities

Leads by example
Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times
Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, and inspires collaboration
Assist in planning, writing, producing, and editing video and digital content for multiple audience segments, ensuring all messaging remains on-brand and consistent in style, quality, and tone
Develop and write blog posts, long-form articles, story pitches, and promotional materials across various writing styles and voices; collaborate with the track photographer to source visuals as needed
Provide onsite support to print and electronic media outlets during live racing and special events
Coordinate the planning, setup, and breakdown of video and photo shoots
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Experience in audio and video recording, editing, and production using DSLR cameras, MacBook, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). Must have strong writing and story-telling skills with ability to interview and build relationships to support content-generation efforts with subject matter expertise
Self-starter with experience that demonstrates project management capabilities in a fast paced environment and the ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, and manage time accordingly
Must be comfortable working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to adjust to a variety of client temperaments and personalities and be willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to meet deadlines and complete a project accurately in a high-stress environment
Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check, and a verification of work history
Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license

Preferred

Knowledge of all social media platforms
Extended knowledge of or work experience in the horse racing industry
On-Camera experience
