The role involves assisting with environmental reviews, fieldwork activities, and preparation of permit applications for renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities
Assisting with environmental reviews and permitting documentation for solar, wind, and battery storage projects
Supporting fieldwork activities such as wetland/stream delineations, habitat assessments, and vegetation surveys
Helping prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) under supervision
Contributing to technical writing and data analysis for reports and permitting documents
Conducting background research on site conditions and applicable regulations
Supporting coordination with regulatory agencies under the direction of senior staff
Assisting with preparation of permit applications and environmental deliverables
Participating in site visits and field surveys, with travel up to 40% under varying field conditions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources or a related field
Up to 2 years of relevant experience (internships or fieldwork experience may substitute)
Familiarity with key environmental regulations such as the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act
Interest in wetland/stream delineations, species habitat assessments and environmental site assessments
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness to travel for fieldwork (up to 40%)
Preferred
Basic experience with ArcGIS and Microsoft Office suite a plus
