INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSTEMS ANALYSIS)
Air Force Civilian Service is seeking civilian professionals to deploy war-winning capabilities for the Department of the Air Force. The role of Information Technology Specialist (Systems Analysis) involves planning, designing, and implementing IT systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.

Responsibilities
Serve as a senior Information Technology (IT) Systems Analyst in planning, designing, and implementing IT systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations
Conduct system/server planning, installation, management, and maintenance for various Windows operating systems
Troubleshoot failed system components, install and upgrade system components, recovery and coop operations for failed systems
Apply knowledge of system administration, network, operating system hardening techniques, and applying security and organizational policy

This may be a designated Drug Testing Position
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
This position may require work to be performed during hours outside the normal duty schedule
Incumbent must obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance
Financial Management Statement
Per DODMAN 8140.03 and DAFMAN 17-1305, the incumbent personnel of this position must achieve the appropriate Foundational Qualification (Designated/accredited BS degree, DOD/Military Training, Personal Certification, Experience, or combination) within 9 months of assignment of these duties/assignment to this position
A Residential Qualification/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) and Annual Maintenance/Continuous Education Units (CEUs) must be completed within 13 months of assignment of these duties/assignment to this position
A waiver (6 month) extension may be granted (DODMAN 4.2.3.C and DAFMAN 17-1305 4.1.7) except for failure to pass Personal Certification
Failure to receive a Foundational Qualification within 9 months and/or Residential Qualification/Annual Maintenance within 12 months constitutes removal of 8140 coding, removal of coding duties, and the personnel is subject to their unit's discretion to pursue administrative actions
Skill in conducting system/server planning, installation, management, and maintenance for various Windows operating systems
Skill in troubleshooting failed system components, installing and upgrading system components, recovery and coop operations for failed systems
Knowledge of system administration, network, operating system hardening techniques, and applying security and organizational policy
