Advancement Data and Reporting Analyst
Williams College is seeking a curious and analytical Advancement Data & Reporting Analyst to join the Office of College Relations (OCR). The Analyst will bridge raw data and strategic decision-making, empowering fundraising and engagement teams to make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities
Data analytics using statistical methods and models to generate graphs, charts, heat maps, and other visualizations to assist end users in understanding the meaning behind the data
Designing and maintaining dashboards (using primarily Power BI) for data analysis to promote data visualization, identify trends, share insights, review historical data, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs)
Writing and validating complex queries for data mining
Designing rich data visualizations to communicate complex ideas to leadership
Developing specifications and proposed layouts in partnership with end users
Maintaining and achieving the highest level of data quality to build and sustain confidence in the reporting and visualization end products
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (preferably in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, etc.)
Minimum of two years of technical experience in a professional office environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to translate and disseminate data for non-technical audiences
Exceptional attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of the department, including senior staff
Demonstrated experience with Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools
Preferred
Experience with Slate CRM database
Full time working experience in a higher education or non-profit environment
Innovative, energetic, flexible, and highly organized who thrives in a collaborative environment
Intermediate to Advanced SQL skills and experience handling large, complex datasets
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (R, Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
Technical expertise with creating models to forecast trends and in data mining and segmentation techniques
Adept at data visualization and analysis in addition to writing queries, report writing, and presenting findings
