Responsibilities

Perform in-coming inspections for all raw materials/components/castings received by confirming specifications through visual and mechanical inspections
Insure in-process inspections are completed per engineering specifications during the production process
Formally investigate and validate or rejects the inspected parts in compliance with engineering specifications
Scraps inspected parts per engineering instructions/documentation and in compliance with applicable procedures
Document and update inspection results by creating/completing required reports and logs
Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Maintain and verify all calibrated measurement equipment to meet requirements and notify team members on needed repairs
Perform non-destructive testing, including ultrasonic, dye penetrant, radiographic, visual, and magnetic particle
Perform mechanical, visual, and dimensional inspections of parts

Required

High school graduate or equivalent plus two (2) years college or technical school or equivalent
2 or more years of experience
Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
UT or RT as specialties
Capability of certification in any qualification
Must have 9 levels of qualification, to include Mechanical Inspection, Weld Surveillance, Liquid Penetrant II and Magnetic Particle II and the ability to maintain qualifications by the qualification criteria. If not able to attain and maintain Weld Surveillance, Liquid Penetrant II and Magnetic Particle II, inspector will have the opportunity of achieving a substitute qualification selected by the Company
Prior experience with engineering drawings including welding, welding symbols
Understand shop drawings, sketches

Preferred

NDE Certification is a bonus
Experience using Farrow measuring equipment
