Traffic Safety & Compliance Coordinator
Ace Hardware is a company committed to promoting a safe and healthy work environment. The Traffic Safety & Compliance Coordinator will maintain driver qualification files, coordinate safety meetings, and assist with compliance-related tasks to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities
Maintain driver qualification files using DQ file management software in accordance with FMSCA regulatory requirements
Coordinate driver safety meetings and maintain attendance/sign-in records
Assist with onboarding paperwork for new drivers
Assist with maintaining driver qualification files, including tracking licenses, medical certificates, endorsements, and expired documentation
Track completion of required DOT, safety, and compliance training
Maintain up-to-date permits and insurance documentation for IFTA Reporting
Gather and track fuel and mileage data for IFTA Reporting
Responsible for all reporting in accordance with corporate traffic safety and compliance requirements
Track and maintain DOT compliance records, including traffic violations and roadside inspection documentation
Review and submit driver payroll for approval by the Traffic Manager
Responsible for maintaining fleet equipment inventory file
Assist the Logistics and Traffic Manager in maintaining compliance with federal, state and DOT safety regulations
Perform administrative duties related to safety and compliance as assigned
Support compliance communication by distributing policy updates, remainders, and required forms to drivers
Check in any freight in shipping office
Create labels for mail packets
Scan to truck
Check SOA’s and convert to route
Run bills / create driver packets: Bills go on trailers, Driver packets go in driver’s room
Page for outs
Issue resolution up to and including: Retailer communications, Busted routes, Freight, Outs
Coordinate with traffic to merge CPO freight onto regular routes
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
Customer service experience
Excellent phone skills including professional phone presence
Excellent writing ability
Expert problem solving skills, with ability to interact with customers and follow through quickly with problem resolution
Ability to work in warehouse/office environment
Flexibility to work earlier or later to complete daily tasks
Self-starter who is motivated and works well independently with little supervision
Preferred
Experience with AS400, WMS, and SAP preferred
