Responsibilities
Perform a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components
Device, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies
Set up and test complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions
Analyze data and recommend modifications to components or test procedure to meet desired specifications
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of additional education and/or related experience
Ability to read engineering/assembly drawings and bills of materials/parts list
Able to draft and read detailed drawings for fabrication
Proven ability to read, comprehend and follow written instructions
Able to manipulate objects, often requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Able to work 1st shift
Preferred
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which generally requires US Citizenship as a prerequisite
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman operating practices
