Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, development, advance product & quality planning (APQP), and production release of a system/component within Fuels Systems: Fuel/Urea Tanks, Fuel/Urea delivery modules, Vapor Canisters, Fuel lines, and Fuel Filters
Interact with suppliers and work closely with internal and external groups such as propulsion systems, engine calibration, vehicle program team, testing & prototype labs, CAE engineers, supplier operations and manufacturing plants
Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
Promote quality improvements including communicating technical product status to management

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering (or a related field) is required
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in English (write, listen, and speak) is a requirement
Self-starter with strong leadership, communication & organizational skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
A valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record

Preferred

BSME degree from an accredited university/or equivalent is preferred
2 years of design/development automotive engineering experience in Fuel Systems and Diesel/Urea Systems is preferred
Automotive product engineering experience
Injection molded/Blow, molded Fuel/Urea tank design
Knowledge of Fuel/Urea Tanks, FDM, UDM, or Canister's virtual simulations is highly recommended
Fuel Delivery Module and/or Urea Delivery Module design is recommended
Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Reactive Methodology, preferred Belt certification
General understanding of fasteners/torque
General understanding of GD&T
General understanding of NX, Teamcenter, PLM
Travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
