Software Product Manager

This role involves managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products that solve customer challenges.
Research
Responsibilities
Leads software product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization, including voice of customer research, definition of customer and product requirements, and value proposition
Meetings with customers to gather feedback and support field teams
Partner with internal and external software development teams to develop software & IT solutions and services for NGS customers
Manages global product launches, including sales & support training
Works collaboratively with other members of Thermo Fisher Scientific team to drive growth for the business segment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
3+ years of experience in software product management required
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screen
Familiarity with genomics, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) analysis & reporting software
Experience with Lab and Hospital IT systems – LIMS, EMR, EHR systems
Experience with command-line Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Software Development Kits (SDKs)
Knowledgeable about software development with a focus on scientific and diagnostic software development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate value proposition and technical information to a range of customer and internal audiences
Self-directed, persistent, and goal-oriented
Ability to work collaboratively with global cross-functional teams
Up to 20% Travel (international and domestic) is required
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD preferred in Bioinformatics / Computer Science, Life Sciences, or Business Administration
Commercial / customer-facing experience desired, including technical sales, product support, product specialist, or product management
