InternDMOS Orthopaedic Centers is seeking a Medical or PA student in their gap year to gain experience in real world patient care. This part-time position involves supporting Hand & Upper Extremity providers and requires a focus on patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
Room patients
Gather and enter information quickly and accurately into an electronic medical record
Respond to physician and/or physician assistant requests quickly to assist with patient care
Assist a patient with transfer
Assist with suture or staple removal and wound care
Qualification
Required
Medical or PA student in their gap year
Ability to work in a clinic to gain experience in real world patient care
Ability to room patients and gather and enter information quickly and accurately into an electronic medical record
Ability to respond to physician and/or physician assistant requests quickly to assist with patient care
Ability to be understanding and compassionate towards patients
Ability to be on your feet for periods of time
Ability to assist a patient with transfer
Ability to assist with suture or staple removal and wound care
Great typing and computer skills
Ability to think on your feet
Ability to use an indoor voice and handle confidential information appropriately
Completion of an undergraduate, medical related degree
Currently or planning to attend Medical or PA School
Positive, friendly, professional demeanor
Can-do attitude with a proactive coaching and consulting skill set
Ability to communicate positively and professionally to patients, physicians, mid-levels, administrative professionals, and team members
