Responsibilities
Serve as the Lead Civil Engineer-of-Record for oil & gas design packages
Develop civil/structural engineering specifications and drawings
Prepare technical designs with a multi-discipline engineering team in compliance with:
Industry codes and standards
Environmental guidelines
Client specifications
Quality assurance program requirements
Develop and review engineering deliverables including drawings, calculations, and specifications
Engineer and certify foundations for large equipment, including Access platforms, Pipe supports, Roads and site improvements
Conduct field verification, condition assessments, and inspections as needed
Assist with cost estimating
Review contractor submittals and RFIs
Perform technical evaluations of vendor proposals
Review plans and specs for discrepancies, code issues, and workmanship concerns
Attend weekly meetings to update the client on project status, schedule, and issue resolution
Qualification
Required
Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering + 10 years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering + 15 years experience
Ability to pass a background check for PIV badging
Valid driver's license
Fluent in English
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Bluebeam
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft tools including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel
Must be comfortable working in active industrial and construction environments, including: Working in all weather conditions, Wearing PPE, Walking long distances / standing for long periods, Lifting materials for inspections, Climbing ladders/scaffolding, Navigating civil construction site conditions, Driving site-provided utility vehicles
Preferred
Engineering and design experience in oil & gas
