Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of a distributed storage service that operates at cloud scale
Range from distributed system service development in Java, to low level systems coding that interfaces directly with hardware
Work to bring brand new systems to production use
Reduce the internal cost of migrating customer data to Glacier storage media
Effectively placing customer data for easier and faster retrievals/GC
Own the migration pipeline from discovering customer data until generating the media-ready data units
Optimizations to migrate data fast and secure
Qualification
Required
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
