The role focuses on building and maintaining a robust automation ecosystem that supports mission-critical enterprise workloads, with responsibilities including architecting scalable solutions and integrating automation with various enterprise tools.

Responsibilities
Assess current AWX/Ansible automation environments and design improvements for high availability and resiliency
Architect and implement scalable, fault-tolerant AWX / Ansible Tower solutions across enterprise infrastructure
Design automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment
Implement best practices for HA, DR, backup, and recovery of automation platforms
Integrate AWX/Ansible with databases, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and enterprise tools
Manage and optimize backend components including databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) used by AWX/Ansible
Ensure secure role-based access control, credential management, and compliance standards
Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to drive automation adoption
Provide troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis for automation-related issues
Create architecture diagrams, documentation, and operational runbooks
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on automation best practices
Qualification
Required
8–12+ years of experience in IT automation, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering
Strong hands-on expertise with AWX, Ansible, and Red Hat Ansible Tower
Proven experience designing highly available and resilient automation platforms
Solid knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and infrastructure services
Experience with database administration supporting automation platforms (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
Strong scripting skills (YAML, Python, Bash)
Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift)
Understanding of security best practices, RBAC, secrets management, and compliance
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
