Engineering Technician Senior
WhiteOptics LLC is part of Acuity Inc., a market-leading industrial technology company. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Technician to work in their Q-SYS division, focusing on testing and qualifying audio and video products while supporting the engineering staff with prototyping and troubleshooting tasks.

Responsibilities
Formal test and qualification of QSC products
Power, analog, and digital circuitry failure analysis, troubleshooting, repair, and modification
Prototyping of circuits and design of test fixtures and assemblies
Maintain the hardware engineering laboratories at QSC
Qualification
Required
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in ET required
5+ years relevant experience in electronic circuit testing, troubleshooting, and repair, utilizing test equipment including signal generators, analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters
Excellent troubleshooting and failure analysis skills required
Excellent through-hole and SMD soldering skills required, hand rework of BGA packages a plus
Excellent organizational skills required
Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills required
Excellent computing skills required
Experience reading schematics and PCB layout files required
Good communication skills in English required, both written and oral
Ability to produce results in a dynamic work environment required
Must be self-motivated in order to achieve assigned objectives with minimal supervision
Preferred
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Experience with Class D audio amplifiers, SMPS power supplies, Power over Ethernet, high-speed networking, and video circuitry
BSET or BSEE preferred
PCB design experience a plus
Scripting experience (C++, Python, Lua) a plus
