KIP Summer 2026 - Campus Freedom Intern - The American Council of Trustees and Alumni
Stand Together is offering the Koch Internship Program, a paid, 12-week experiential learning opportunity at non-profits across the United States. The Campus Freedom Intern will support efforts to promote free expression and viewpoint diversity in higher education by assisting with research, policy analysis, and communication efforts related to academic freedom.

Responsibilities
Assist the CFI team with analyzing academic policies regarding free speech, academic freedom, and diversity of thought on college and university campuses
Provide research support for reports on specific topics related to the policy recommendations in the ACTA Gold Standard and other issues related to campus freedom
Provide research and writing support for the Paul & Karen Levy Fellow in Campus Freedom
Assist with letters and statements responding to campus freedom issues as they arise
Monitor higher ed news and keep the CFI team informed of developments pertaining to our work
Qualification
Required
Eligible candidates will be geographically located within the U.S
Authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program
Must be available every Thursday from 1-4:00 PM ET for virtual professional development training
Must attend the in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, VA June 3-4
Must approach tasks as an entrepreneurial enterprise
Requires an understanding of and proactive approach to ACTA's program activities
Expected to be personable, dynamic, well organized, highly motivated, and principled
The highest degree of personal responsibility, accountability, and honesty is expected
