Data Analytics and Work Queue Analyst

Responsibilities
Develops, maintains, and interprets enterprise-level revenue cycle analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics
Analyzes trends related to access, throughput, denials, and work queue performance to inform leadership decision-making
Translates complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for executive and operational leaders
Serves as the enterprise owner for work queue performance, dashboard monitoring frameworks, slicer-dicer development including measuring volume, aging, prioritization of opportunities, throughput, and denial reduction
Evaluates work queue and dashboard trends to identify systemic risks related to backlog, capacity, regulatory compliance or workflow inefficiencies and develop recommendations to mitigate
Partners with operational leaders and ITS, recommending data-informed strategies for reporting, work queue and dashboard optimization and operationalization
Assesses performance impact of operational or system changes on work queue, dashboard and reporting outcomes
Partners with ITS, Business Systems, and operational teams to evaluate the performance impact of Epic upgrades, enhancements, and workflow changes
Provides data-driven recommendations to leadership regarding system or workflow adjustments based on observed performance trends
Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and consultant to ERC Leadership on revenue cycle analytics and work queue performance
Collaborates with Quality Analysts to align performance trends with quality findings and corrective action priorities
Partners with Training teams to inform education and reinforcement strategies based on performance data
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in revenue cycle analytics, business systems analysis, or healthcare operations
Demonstrated experience developing and interpreting complex data sets, dashboards, and performance metrics
Working knowledge of Epic revenue cycle and patient access workflows sufficient to analyze performance and operational impact
Proven ability to translate analytics into actionable recommendations for leadership
Strong written and verbal communication skills
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
