Associate Vice President Human Resources

Tunnel to Towers Foundation is dedicated to honoring the sacrifice of first responders and military personnel. The Associate Vice President will lead the Foundation's Human Resource operations, focusing on policy development, strategic growth, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with Vice President Administration to define the foundation’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission
Identifies key performance indicators for the foundation’s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the foundation’s success and growth
Develop, implement, and oversee HR policies, procedures, and long-range planning, fostering a culture of high performance and compliance
Researches, develops, and implements competitive benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs to cover nationwide growth
Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource team; assists with the resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues
Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management
Work collaboratively with the team to address organization-wide needs
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum 10 years of Human Resources management experience
Experience working with multi-state workforces
Possess a keen attention to detail
Ability to prioritize workload and handle sensitive information
Strong organizational skills and able to multitask in a smart and timely fashion
Strong leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and contribute to the positive working environment of the Foundation
Willingness to travel (25%)
Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required

Preferred

Related HR degree and/or certification is a plus
