Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

Maintenance of burn-in and testing tools
Understanding and execution of qualification plans, stress testing, and accelerated life testing for optical devices
Analyze test data, use statistical methods, identify failure trends
Root cause analysis for failures
Implement corrective actions and develop reports
Collaborate with RD/process engineers to integrate reliability practices early in development
Interact and coordinate with product engineering team to resolve yield and quality issues
Resolve action items on timely basis to meet product development goals

Required

Bachelor's degree in Material Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline plus 3 years of working experience in semiconductor and optical devices reliability testing and data analysis is required
Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
Detail oriented and self-motivated
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to work in clean room environment wearing smock
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions

Preferred

Master's degree or Ph.D in Material Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline plus 1 year of working experience in semiconductor laboratory or fabrication is preferred
Hands-on experience in semiconductor characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM, EDS, XRD, optical microscopy, etc. is preferred
Knowledge of compound semiconductor device theory is desired
Microsoft Access, SQL, LabVIEW and other programming skills preferred
Experience with DOE techniques and SPC (Statistical Process Control) is preferred
