Responsibilities
Install, configure, operate, and maintain Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating systems
Support day-to-day system administration for development, test, and operational environments
Monitor system performance, availability, and security
Apply system updates, patches, and configuration changes in accordance with DoW and program requirements
Support troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software, and network issues
Assist with system security, hardening, and compliance activities
Support system backups, recovery, and continuity operations
Maintain system documentation, procedures, and configuration records
Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and engineering teams
Support audits, inspections, and program reviews
Defines system administration strategies and best practices
Leads system architecture, sustainment, and modernization efforts
Supports major program milestones, audits, and customer engagements
Advises leadership on system performance, risk, and improvement opportunities
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship
Bachelor's Degree preferred, or an Associate Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
Over 6 years related systems administration experience. Years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
Experience administering Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating systems
Understanding of system administration principles and troubleshooting techniques
Ability to document technical procedures and system configurations
Must have an Active Secret Clearance
