Responsibilities
Own our serverless infrastructure and establish our engineering practices
Write Python, build Terraform configs, and make architectural calls
Communicate clearly
Explain technical trade-offs to non-engineers
Propose alternatives when constraints affect the product
Collaborate with the team
Design efficient event-driven systems with S3, SQS, and Lambda
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, or related field (commensurate experience will be considered in place of a degree)
7+ years in cloud engineering, or similar role including: Background in time-series data processing, Experience building platforms for data science or analytics teams
Experience with healthcare data or compliance (HIPAA/HITRUST)
Strong experience with AWS serverless: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SQS
Python proficiency for Lambda development and data processing
Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
Familiarity with event-driven architectures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
