Staff Engineer, Site Program Leader

Responsibilities

Serve as Lead Development Engineer on New Product Development projects for Endomechanical R&D
Serve as key liaison between design team, quality, supply chain, planning and external sites to develop and launch a product into the marketplace
Direct and coordinate all activities pertaining to development engineering
Develop strategy for component development, device assembly, packaging, and sterilization
Assess resource needs and timing to develop product through all phases, as well as all risks to project and product, including communicating to and partnering with Project Management (PM) Managers
Influence selection of sites and suppliers
Ensure PM COE resources fulfill all technical and procedural requirements
Provide performance feedback to PM COE resources and other team members
Mentor associates in career development
Communicate project updates and risks to management
Participate in customer interface events throughout entire lifecycle of product
Participate as expert witness in legal proceedings as needed
Consult on lifecycle engineering for design, manufacturing, and quality issues
Ensure PM COE capabilities and standardizations are current, appropriate, and effective

Required

Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering, or related field
8 years of experience in the job offered or in a Staff Engineer, Site Program Leader-related occupation

Benefits

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
This position is eligible for benefits to include medical, dental, vision and time off, as well as any others as provided for in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
