Responsibilities
Reverse engineer and maintain deal-level payment rules used to calculate multi-class securitization factors and payments
Onboard new securities and deals to support bond administration, bond disclosures, and IRS tax calculations/reporting
Troubleshoot bond payment differences and investigate root causes across models and systems
Participate in regular status meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to identify and implement process and system improvements
Develop queries, analyses, and reports for operations and management teams, or provide specifications for reports to be built by others
Lead and/or participate in testing, validation, and acceptance of new platform functionality
Qualification
Required
Candidates who are currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Experience with process improvement and operational risk management
Strong data reporting and analytics background
Solid Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) knowledge
Strong analytical and technical skillset, including SQL
Advanced Excel formulas and functions
VBA and/or C++
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, a technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience
At least 3 years of direct experience in the Mortgage-Backed Securities industry
Strong knowledge of MBS and the housing finance industry
Preferred
Experience with Intex or similar bond analytics / cash flow modeling software
Experience working in cross-functional teams supporting financial systems or fintech platforms
