Responsibilities

Build and iterate on tools that allow independent candidates to organize, campaign, and connect with voters at scale
Write high-quality, production-grade code across the full stack, with an emphasis on responsive and accessible web applications
Integrate AI and LLM-driven workflows into core product features using best practices in prompt engineering and AI architecture
Create robust, reusable component libraries and uphold rigorous design and accessibility standards
Collaborate closely with the product, design, and QA teams to rapidly ship new features and enhancements
Contribute to key architectural decisions and help guide technical strategy alongside the CTO

Qualification

Required

10+ years of experience in software engineering, with demonstrated full-stack expertise
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript development skills, especially with React.js
Mastery of HTML/CSS/SCSS for building pixel-perfect, mobile-first designs
Experience deploying and scaling web applications in fast-paced or startup environments
Familiarity with design systems and component architecture
Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
Experience incorporating AI/LLM tools into software workflows

Preferred

Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, Nest.js, or AWS infrastructure
Past experience building or scaling design systems
Interest or experience in civic tech, political organizing, or mission-driven product development
Experience working in a cross-functional startup team
Knowledge of accessibility, progressive enhancement, or mobile performance best practices
