Responsibilities
Own monthly and quarterly close while ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting
Oversee core accounting functions and general ledger activity across multiple entities
Support external reporting requirements within a public company environment
Provide guidance on technical accounting areas including revenue, equity compensation, leases, and other complex transactions
Lead SOX-related activities and partner with auditors throughout quarterly and annual reviews
Manage and develop an accounting team, building scalable processes to support continued growth
Partner with FP&A and finance leadership on reporting, variance analysis, and business insights
Drive improvements across systems, controls, and workflows to strengthen accounting operations
Qualification
Required
Active CPA required
10+ years of progressive accounting experience
5+ years in a manager / leadership role
Strong technical foundation across U.S. GAAP and complex accounting areas
Hands-on experience supporting SEC reporting and SOX compliance in a regulated environment
Comfortable leading teams while owning close, reporting, and process improvements
Based in the Tampa area and open to a hybrid schedule (typically 1–2 days onsite)
Preferred
SaaS or technology experience is a plus, not required
