Senior Compensation Analyst
Forbes Technical Consulting is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to support a significant HR transformation centered on implementing a new HCM system. The role involves foundational analysis, data preparation, and providing implementation and configuration support for job architecture and compensation frameworks.
Responsibilities
Organize and review approximately 1,700+ position titles
Support categorization of roles into logical job functions, families, and sub-families
Identify title redundancies, inconsistencies, and data quality issues requiring remediation
Provide organizational context on how positions currently function across departments
Facilitate data cleanup and preliminary analysis to support design phase activities
Partner with compensation and job architecture subject matter experts to translate approved designs into actionable documentation
Create mapping files and configuration inputs needed for system build activities
Support alignment of job structures, hierarchies, and compensation frameworks within the new platform
Assist with pay structure integration, including salary bands and job level alignment
Collaborate with implementation consultants and internal teams to prepare configuration materials
Participate in testing cycles by reviewing data accuracy and validating system outputs
Track project decisions, dependencies, and risks while escalating issues with recommended solutions
Qualification
Required
Experience supporting compensation programs, job architecture initiatives, or HR system implementations
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to document complex information and manage detailed processes
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with consultants, cross-functional teams, and technical partners
Preferred
Experience in higher education or similarly complex organizational environments
