Mid LevelTekshapers is seeking a Quality Engineer to support daily production needs in their Crop Prep business unit. The role involves collaborating with team members to identify quality gaps, performing process capability studies, and utilizing problem-solving tools to resolve quality issues.

Responsibilities
The position will support daily production needs through Quality engineering for Crop Prep business unit
Collaborate with members of the Crop Prep team to identify gaps to achieve area metrics
Perform process capability studies and closely monitor drifts
Use Six Sigma, 8D (Eight Disciplines) and other problem-solving tools to get to root cause and resolve quality issues and defects
Data acquisition and analysis of quality processes from various sources like Supplier quality, In-process quality, Quality gate, Repair area, Pre-dispatch inspection and Customer quality
Generate periodic reports and publish reports / results back to the relevant members of the business, as assigned
Work alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
Take directions from the reporting manager to support and execute activities assigned from time to time
Work closely with internal stake holders and lead in resolving the QA Matrix line items relating to MAN/Method
Lead in coordinating and implementing Quality related kaizens, process quality improvements in the assigned work group area
Assist in CPA (Customer Product Audit) data monitoring and drive countermeasures of the issues reported
Assess current manufacturing stations and identify potential quality improvement opportunities of workstations/cells
Setup rigorous review with internal stake holders and coordinate with cross-functional team to drive the process quality improvements
Ensure tracking and closure of QA Matrix line items by coordinating with cross-functional team
Support the quality assurance activities assigned by the project manager from time to time
Drive continuous improvement and develop processes and documentation consistent with Plant’s standards and requirements related to Quality
Strong project documentation skills and communication skills required
Qualification
Required
Quality engineering experience in Fabrication (Metal Cutting – Laser Cutting, etc.)
Experience in a Machine Shop environment
Knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
Ability to perform process capability studies
Experience with Six Sigma and 8D (Eight Disciplines) problem-solving tools
Data acquisition and analysis skills for quality processes
Ability to generate and publish periodic reports
Collaboration skills with internal stakeholders and management teams
Ability to lead and coordinate Quality related kaizens and process improvements
Experience in CPA (Customer Product Audit) data monitoring
Skills in assessing manufacturing stations for quality improvement opportunities
Ability to track and close QA Matrix line items
Strong project documentation skills
