Program Site Manager
YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a Program Site Manager for their Community Schools Initiative program. In this role, you will ensure program quality, assist in curriculum implementation, provide leadership to staff, and oversee the distribution of necessary supplies, while also delivering direct service when needed.

Responsibilities
Implements program curriculum with school-aged program staff while ensuring the program follows DCFS and YMCA standards
Provides guidance to staff while onsite in adhering to program quality standards
Facilitates collaboration with and between program staff including assisting in planning and leading program staff meetings
Enhances parent/guardian/caregiver engagement and ensures that the program meets expectations for quality
Collaborates with teachers, principals and other staff at local schools to align and execute program activities and ensure program success
Maintains and audits all program files according to DCFS and YMCA Standards
Assists in development and execution of special events and seasonal school-aged programs, such as Day Camp, for members and program participants
Participates in program marketing and retention activities
Fills in for other staff as needed
Hires, develops, motivates and retains a committed team passionate about the YMCA’s mission and service to members
Completes all job related, supervisory and other trainings as required
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 21 years of age and/or 5 years older than the oldest child that participates in the program
Must have capacity to make decisions and communicate effectively with parents and children
Must have at least a High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following: 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university with 12 semester hours related to school age childcare, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields. In addition, 750 hours of professional experience in recreational program or licensed day care center serving school age children (K-5th) or a license exempt school age childcare program operated by a private or public school. OR 6 semester hours of credit from an accredited college or university related to school age childcare, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields. In addition, 1560 hours of professional experience in recreational program or a licensed day care center serving school age children or a license exempt school age childcare (K-5th) program operated by a private or public school
1 to 3 years or more experience in youth and family programming providing high-quality experience to program participants, with at least 2 years supervisor or team leadership experience
Strategic thinking skills including effective planning, setting goals, monitoring progress, tracking results and making appropriate adjustments to plans based on circumstances and context
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
Customer service orientation, with the ability to effectively communicate on a regular basis with internal customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with customers, team members and other stakeholders and constituents
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email; ability to learn and adapt to new technology
