Senior Appian Developer - Support

Responsibilities
Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications to automate and optimize business processes
Production Support: Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with Business Analysts and stakeholders to ensure system stability and performance
Requirement Analysis: Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions within Appian
Workflow Design: Create and configure Appian process models, interfaces, and integrations to deliver efficient workflows and user experiences
Collaboration: Partner with IT and development teams to ensure requirements are implemented accurately and align with organizational objectives
Tool Utilization: Use Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for task tracking, version control, and communication across teams
Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and deployment guides, to support application development and maintenance
Quality Assurance: Participate in testing and validation of new features and fixes to ensure high-quality deliverables
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance existing applications and contribute to best practices for Appian development
Agile Practices: Work within Agile methodologies to deliver iterative improvements and maintain flexibility in development cycles
Security: Ensure compliance with data security standards and adopt best practices for secure application development
This is a remote role, but may require travel up to 10% of the time

Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen. If hired into this position, the employee must also reside in the United States
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 3–5 years of experience in Appian development, or a High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in Appian development in lieu of degree
Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications using the Appian low-code platform, including process models, interfaces, and integrations
Ability to meet with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Appian solutions using Agile methodologies
Proficiency in Appian application configuration, Appian Designer, and related tools; ability to generate reports and dashboards within Appian
Familiarity with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for managing tasks, version control, and communication
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate application changes, release schedules, and technical details to stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with Appian development beyond core functionality, including advanced features such as plug-ins, connected systems, and Appian RPA
Appian developer certification
Familiarity with low-code platforms other than Appian
Experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs and external systems
Knowledge of Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases, including writing queries and understanding data modeling concepts
Understanding of Agile development practices and experience working in iterative development environments
