Associate Financial Analyst
Behringer is a Dallas-based company focused on private commercial real estate investment. They are seeking a Financial Analyst to provide analytical support, engage in investor relations, and assist in asset management activities.

Responsibilities
Adapt, modify and enhance current real estate investment models. Occasionally develop new models for operating business analysis, intricate asset operational analysis, or “ground-up” real estate development
Develop an in-depth knowledge of each investment’s respective market, legal, tax and regulatory considerations
Drive effective results from routine interaction with real estate brokers, sellers, intermediaries, due diligence service providers, property consultants, and bankers
Participate in due diligence and closing processes for acquisitions, dispositions, and debt placements
Perform industry research on real estate and alternative investment topics as needed
Support numerous core asset management activities:
Leasing/Tenant Relations
Property Tax Proformas
Audit/Accounting Issues
Leasing and Sales Comp Sets
Market/Submarket Competitive Set Monitoring
Management and Investor Report Review & Preparation
Property/Market Tour support
Vendor and partner engagement
Assist in annual budgeting effort, as appropriate
Secret shopping, as appropriate
Investor Flyer Preparation
Investor PowerPoint Preparation
Engage with graphic designer, as necessary
Investor portal content management, per deal
Quarterly report creation support
Monitor email and phone engagement points for investors
Engage with vendors on supporting schedules, information
Build call list and solicit brokers to remind of acq criteria; respond to acq criteria inquiries
Executive Summary work on relevant packages (including IC pkgs.)
Walk competing assets or lease space
Summarize historical operating expense and tax data for acq team review
Potential engagement with third party report providers
Retrieve closing statements; confirm vendor invoices appear
Confirm basic seller reps with guidance
Qualification
Required
Ideally at least two years of experience engaging in commercial real estate marketplace (non-single family residential) in an analysis-heavy role
Highly proficient in Excel and Argus. Experience with Word and PowerPoint expected
A bachelor's degree with strong academic record from a vigorous undergraduate program, ideally in finance, accounting, business administration, economics or mathematics
Detail-oriented approach to quantitative work and ability to accurately format and present data and other findings
Ability to understand market trends in the investment and/or real estate sector
Interest in living in Dallas for an extended period. This is not a remote work position
Excellent listening, time management and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in an independent, challenging, and collaborative situations
