Senior Business Data Analyst – Commercial Health Insurance

Responsibilities
Pull health plan, member, provider, and operations data from various sources and databases using SQL
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies across different types of operating data
Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present complex findings in an accessible format for both technical and non-technical audiences/stakeholders
Work with teams across the company to manage different types of data requests and to implement and evaluate data-driven solutions
Ensure data integrity across our systems by identifying discrepancies and recommending/implementing data capture and maintenance standards/processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Health Information Management, or a related field
7+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably in the commercial health insurance industry (not Medicare, Medicaid, or individual market/ACA plans)
Advanced SQL skills required, including experience extracting and manipulating large datasets for reporting
Advanced Power BI and Python skills also required
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite
Ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
Must reside in the United States and in the Eastern or Central time zone
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure
Must live in a location that receives an existing high-speed internet connection/service
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separate from other living areas and provides information privacy
Preferred
Experience with implementing automation
