Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for FAA, EASA, and AS9110 audits and customer visits
Maintain absolute currency of technical data, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins (SBs)
Make final airworthiness determinations and oversee the company’s scrap and safety programs
Reduce production downtime by implementing advanced systems to minimize rework and recalls
Define rigorous test standards and specify state-of-the-art equipment for maintenance operations
Manage the calibration and traceability of all instrumentation to ensure zero-defect output
Direct the daily activities of the QC Supervisor and a team of multi-disciplinary inspectors
Foster a culture of 'Quality First' through hands-on coaching, training, and professional development
Review department efficiency, manage staffing budgets, and approve time-reporting
Collaborate with Engineering to develop and approve new repair capabilities
Partner with Customer Service to manage warranties, investigate complaints, and ensure contractual accuracy
Gather and analyze complex data to provide the General Manager with actionable quality metrics

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5 years in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station
8+ years total in Quality with 5+ years in a management role
Expert knowledge of ISO/AS standards and aerospace industry specifications
High sense of urgency, analytical reasoning, and the ability to present complex data to diverse stakeholders

Preferred

Valid A&P License
Deep experience in engine component manufacturing and dimensional inspection
Hands-on leadership style with a proven track record of managing Quality departments in high-pressure, deadline-oriented environments
Ability to translate abstract FAA regulations into clear, actionable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
