Public Health Coordinator
Medasource is focused on public health initiatives, and they are seeking a Public Health Coordinator to serve as a liaison within a Healthcare Coalition and regional public health partners. The role involves coordinating emergency preparedness and response efforts for vulnerable populations and supporting initiatives that advance health equity.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with Healthcare Coalitions (HCCs), healthcare facilities, and community organizations to integrate the needs of vulnerable populations into all phases of emergency preparedness, response, and recovery
Develop and maintain partnerships with long-term care, hospice, home health, dialysis, assisted living, behavioral health, and other providers serving at-risk populations
Support vaccination efforts and infectious disease response activities, including planning and operating Points of Distribution (PODs)
Deliver training and technical assistance on the Healthcare Resource Tracking System (HRTS) and Patient Bed Matching (PBM); serve as the regional subject matter expert for PBM
Maintain coalition contact lists, inventories, and preventive maintenance logs for coalition-owned assets
Develop and update regional resource directories of agencies and vendors that support vulnerable populations
Facilitate outreach and host quarterly meetings with population-specific partners to strengthen preparedness and participation in HCCs
Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and local coalitions to enhance community-wide engagement
Support regional exercises and contribute to After-Action Reports and Improvement Plans focused on vulnerable populations
Assist with reporting, data management, and compliance with applicable preparedness and response program requirements
Provide logistical and operational support during emergency and disaster activations
Perform additional duties as assigned by coalition or emergency response leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field
2–3 years of experience in public health, healthcare preparedness, emergency management, or community outreach
Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800
Knowledge of public health systems, emergency preparedness, and healthcare operations
Understanding of social vulnerability and access and functional needs considerations in disaster planning
Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and preparedness platforms such as HRTS and PBM
Ability to travel regionally and support after-hours emergency response as needed
Preferred
Master's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field
ICS 300/400 preferred within 24 months of hire
