Responsibilities

Become the founding member of the PCB Librarian team on the Starship program, leading the effort to create high-quality library parts
Create, update, and maintain accurate PCB component libraries including symbols, footprints, 3D STEP models, and parametric data in CAD tools like Altium and Xpedition
Review and validate component data against manufacturer datasheets, mechanical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
Organize and manage centralized libraries, implement version control, naming conventions, and lifecycle management (e.g., active, obsolete); perform audits and cleanups to prevent errors in designs
Work with PCB designers, component engineers, manufacturing engineers, and procurement teams to resolve library issues, provide custom footprints/models, and ensure designs are optimized for supply chain & manufacturing
Develop automation scripts (e.g., Python, Altium/Xpedition scripting) for library tasks, contribute to library workflows, and train team members on best practices
Ensure libraries adhere to DFM/DFA principles, RoHS/REACH regulations, and company standards; conduct peer reviews and participate in library release processes
