Tamper Indicating Device (TID) Administrator (Material Cntrl & Accountability Spec 2)
Los Alamos National Laboratory is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. They are seeking a Material Control & Accountability Specialist 2 (TID Administrator) to provide operational and programmatic support to the Laboratory's tamper-indicating device program, ensuring compliance and effective management of TID activities.
Security
Responsibilities
Provide guidance and oversight of TID activities across the Laboratory
Track, trend, and manage TID inventory, ensuring timely restocking and reconciliation
Assist with and perform TID audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
Engage and interact with vendors regarding TID procurement and supply management
Conduct research, investigate alternative solutions, and recommend effective approaches to operational challenges
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure decisions align with regulatory and institutional drivers
Utilize Microsoft Access and Excel extensively for report generation, data analysis, and trend presentation
Demonstrate exceptional written communication skills, producing accurate and detailed documentation
Conceptualize and communicate complex processes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration and coordination
Develop, provide, and continuously enhance institutional training programs for TID users
Contribute to the development and improvement of institutional policies, procedures, and best practices related to TID operations
Apply working knowledge of nuclear material policies, practices, and procedures to ensure all TID-related activities meet Laboratory standards and federal requirements
Qualification
Required

Position requires a Q Clearance and the Human Reliability Program (HRP)
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience directly related to the occupation
Preferred
Demonstrated experience in the effective development and delivery of training
Experience with the use of LANL nuclear material accountability system (LAMCAS)
Basic Instructor Training (BIT) trained / certified
Comprehensive techniques related to protection management and controls
Comprehensive understanding of safeguards and security to Nuclear Material
