The FLEXShift Quality Assurance Tech will ensure the quality and safety of milk products by conducting inspections, monitoring production processes, and implementing corrective actions to uphold high standards.

Responsibilities
Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished milk products
Perform regular inspections of production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Monitor and document equipment calibration and maintenance
Collaborate with production teams to address any quality-related issues promptly
Evaluate trends from test results and communicate these trends to employees and management
Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food Safety and regulatory compliance
Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as needed
Record and analyze data and prepare reports on quality metrics. Ensure that daily records are kept and maintained
Drive continuous improvement, assist in the discipline to maintain a 6-S rating of an 'A'
Follow-up customer complaints and follow-up with production
Implement quality control processes/testing to meet the expectations of Safeway quality standards and ensure that the product(s) are within specification
Other required projects assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree preferable
Additional relevant certifications are a plus
Previous experience in quality assurance or a similar role in food production is preferred
Strong mindfulness and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance
Effective communication and documentation skills
Flexibility to work the specified shift and occasionally on weekends if required
Good analytical and critical thinking skills
Able to multi-task in fast paced environment with limited supervision
Proficient in window-based PC programs
Preferred
Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulations
