Responsibilities

Support Engineering leadership prioritization and decision making, portfolio planning, annual budgeting and quarterly commit processes, month-end and quarterly close activities, forecasting/reporting/variance analysis, driving compliance
Partner closely key business partners, including Engineering and Product Management leadership, HR, talent acquisition, and accounting to collaborate and establish best practices across the organization
Model headcount costs and discretionary expenses to identify opportunities and provide recommendations to pull back or accelerate spend based on areas of prioritization by the team
Continuously improve forecasting accuracy through enhanced data analytics and cross-functional collaboration
Support monthly close processes, including: accruals, variance analysis, and PO, invoice, and requisition approvals
Perform ad-hoc analyses as needed
Understand GAAP and Cisco accounting policy impacts on expense forecasts

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business-related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
Intermediate Excel skills is a requirement
Proficiency with finance ERPs and financial planning software (e.g. Oracle Hyperion Essbase, Netsuite, Anaplan, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred

Previous OpEx or COGS Experience is preferred
SaaS business experience
Has shown an ability to drive process improvements and automation
