CyberSecurity Project Manager (Unpaid - Ticketing & Team Coordination)

Value Aligners is looking for a highly organized, proactive unpaid intern to help translate business-level meeting outcomes into clear development work. You’ll support our product delivery by creating and managing tickets in Jira, coordinating across Dev/QA/Product, and helping keep interns and contributors aligned and accountable.
Information Services

Responsibilities

Filter and translate action items from business/product meetings into well-scoped development tasks for the engineering team
Create, write, and manage tickets in Jira (or Trello/ClickUp), including acceptance criteria, priority, and next steps
Assign tickets to developers and help balance workloads across the team
Track progress daily and follow up with developers and designers to keep work moving
Coordinate between teams (Development, QA, Product) to ensure smooth handoffs and fewer blockers
Capture daily standup notes and provide concise reporting/updates to the manager
Identify blockers early, escalate issues fast, and propose solutions/options
Help manage other interns (task assignment, follow-ups, light coordination) to ensure commitments are met

Required

Strong English communication (written and verbal); you can summarize, clarify, and follow up clearly
Organized and proactive; you don't wait to be told what to do when something is stuck
Basic technical understanding (APIs, frontend vs. backend, bugs, QA concepts)
Familiarity with at least one tool: Jira, Notion, or ClickUp (any one is enough)
Comfortable communicating with developers and asking the right questions
Time-zone flexibility (especially if you're working with offshore teammates)
Expected commitment: ~20 hours/week minimum (reliability and follow-through matter)
Confidentiality is required (NDA). You must handle company documents, credentials, and internal materials responsibly

Preferred

Computer Science or related student background
QA familiarity or basic coding experience
Agile/Scrum knowledge (ceremonies, user stories, sprint planning, retros)
