Responsibilities

Contribute to early-stage research and proof-of-concept development of new solutions for seismic imaging and inversion
Explore and validate innovative concepts by leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including machine learning, and AI where applicable
Design forward-looking tools and workflows that drive innovation and reshape traditional geophysical methodologies
Integrate analytical and physics-based approaches with modern AI and data science techniques to unlock new possibilities in seismic imaging
Evaluate new ideas using synthetic and field datasets to assess performance and practical value
Support the transition of promising solutions from discovery to commercialization
Document research outcomes through technical reports and presentations for internal and external knowledge sharing

Required

Currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, or a related field
Familiarity with seismic data processing techniques, inversion methods, or imaging algorithms
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ for scientific computing
Experience with numerical methods and optimization theory
Exposure to machine learning applications in seismic imaging and inversion
Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environment
