Responsibilities
Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial petrochemical location
Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing arrivals to designated areas
Screen and document vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including deliveries and service providers, by completing required checks, inspecting credentials, and maintaining accurate access control records
Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and public responders as directed and completing timely incident reports
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter and access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations while reporting hazards and operational concerns to site leadership
Qualification
Required
Possess a TSA issued TWIC
Be 21+ years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
