Structural (Bridge) Engineering Intern - Summer 2026
RS&H is a leading firm providing integrated architecture, engineering, and consulting services. They are seeking a Structural/Bridge Engineering Intern to support the technical design of transportation-related structures and gain hands-on experience in the field.

Responsibilities
Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team to assist with the design of structural components for roadways, intersections, and interchanges, to include bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and sign structures
Prepare plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates
Gather and provide data for the preparation of engineering reports and studies
Perform and review design calculations
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or other related specialization from an accredited ABET university
Must reside and/or attend an institution (physical or online) near the aforementioned eligible internship locations (Tampa, FL)
Undergraduate or Graduate student with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an intermediate level of technical writing and communication skills
Basic CAD experience (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.)
Preferred
2.5 GPA or above
Experience modeling in 3D utilizing Bentley OpenBridge
Experience or coursework pertaining to the design of concrete or steel structures
Experience or exposure to Florida Departments of Transportation (FDOT) and/or Tollway plan preparation and design standards
