Autonomy - Engineer

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. They are seeking Autonomy Engineers to contribute to the Developmental Integration & Evaluation and deployment of 6th Generation aircraft, involving tasks such as developing test plans, executing tests, and analyzing data.

Responsibilities

Develop test plans and procedures for the integration, characterization, and testing of complex test Navigation, Defense Aviation Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance platforms, Command & Control, Automation, Flight Controls, Guidance Navigation & Control, and Inertial Navigation Systems, Global Navigation Satellite System Integration, and Navigation Error Modeling
Execute tests, collect and analyze test data to optimize performance, and support system design enhancements
Perform system performance modeling to demonstrate performance compliance in support of the development, characterization, and testing of new deliverable test systems
Work with engineering staff to document changes made to hardware and deviations from standard procedures as necessary
Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job

Required

Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and four years of related engineering experience or have an accredited Master of Science in Engineering with at least 2 years of related engineering experience or have an accredited doctoral degree in engineering
Mastery of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enables the employee to serve as a technical authority on projects relating to the specific programs
Sufficient knowledge and skill to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools
Planning/organizing skills
Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software
Possess a valid, state-issued driver's license
Able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to top secret with special access
Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred

Experience in Flight Test Engineering
Experience building digital models and simulations Unmanned Aerial Systems
Experience validating and verifying navigation systems in operational test environments
Candidates must have, or be able to obtain, a Secret Clearance with the eventual upgrade to Top Secret clearance and must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
