They are seeking an experienced Mold Setup Technician in Goodyear, Arizona, responsible for mold setups, startups, shutdowns, and process troubleshooting in the production of injection molded products.

Responsibilities
Set up and removal of molds, prepare molds for production startup and perform insert change overs for production
Perform preventive mold maintenance as per instruction and assigned intervals
Inspect mold for defects and document part quality issues
Perform off-line bi-annual preventive mold maintenance and required mold services
Assist with any in process troubleshooting and mold repairs
Do general housekeeping around the presses and maintain safe work environment
Maintain cleanliness, safety and functionality of mold components, tools and equipment
Maintain plastic injection molds and equipment is in optimal running condition
Work independent with strong technical knowledge and good communication skills
Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
Read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools
Position, set and secure mold into molding machine, connect or disconnect mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic connections
Following all Lock Out/Tag Out rules and work instructions
Keep own and adjacent work area clean
Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least 3 or more years of experience in a technical, hands-on position, experiences working on plastic injection molds
Knowledge of CNC Machining
Experience with Plastic Injection Molding
Basic knowledge of the plastic processing and troubleshooting of thermoplastic molds
Basic math skills
Basic electrical skills
Basic computer skills
Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use basic hand tools
Possess good hand-eye coordination with manual dexterity
Repair and perform all necessary preventive maintenance on plastic injection molds and molding related auxiliary equipment related to the mold setup
Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
Preferred
Experience with SOLID WORKS preferred
