Responsibilities
Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM, EDR, and related tools
Review and triage suspicious activity and escalate issues using documented procedures
Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning, validation, and remediation tracking
Maintain and update security documentation, including procedures and standards
Participate in access reviews and user account audits
Assist with security awareness efforts, including phishing simulations and training support
Support compliance and risk assessment activities under direction from senior team members
Qualification
Required
Foundational understanding of information security principles such as least privilege and defense in depth
Familiarity with Windows, Linux, or macOS operating systems
Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls
Exposure to security tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, or endpoint protection tools
Internship, academic, or hands-on experience in IT, cybersecurity, or systems administration
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience
Follows documented processes and knows when to ask for help or escalate issues
Communicates clearly and directly, both in writing and verbally
Approaches work with care, consistency, and attention to detail
Operates responsibly in a mission-critical environment
Works well with teammates and supports shared goals
Preferred
Entry-level security certifications or active progress toward one are a plus
