Responsibilities
Implements, supports, maintains and enhances data warehouse products and services
Interacts with other technical team members to establish extract and transformation requirements
Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware or other technologies
Defines user interfaces and functional specifications
Develops complex extract, transform and load (ETL) programs and business intelligence applications to meet implementation requirements or enhance customer functionality
Supports all ETL programs for multi terabyte Enterprise Data Warehouse to ensure timely availability of data for internal customer use
Performance tunes database packages on multi terabyte Enterprise Data Warehouse to comply with Customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Performs testing of ETL programs affected by applications and database patches
Assists with planning for the re-engineering of existing systems, replacing inadequate systems and/or expanding existing systems
Resolves escalated problems, responds to new and unusual situations and recommends solutions to systemic problems
Participates in ongoing training to continuously upgrade technical knowledge and skills
Performs other job-related tasks as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and four (4) years of professional experience in computer systems analysis, software development and/or a system configuration discipline
Professional experience must include minimum four (4) years hands-on dimensional modeling, data integration and ETL development
A combination of eight (8) years education and professional experience
Certification, Registration and/or Training specific to the job may be required during employment
This position requires that employees be in compliance with JEA procedure ES A0200 A0101 RS 628 Screening Personnel Risk Assessments (pre-hire for 'FACTA' designations; pre-hire and recurring for 'CIP' designations)
