This role will support accounting activities for television distribution and licensing, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and driving improvements in processes.

Responsibilities
Own the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, analyzing and explaining variances, and delivering meaningful financial reporting to management
Review licensing agreements and interpret contractual terms to determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606, and process agreements through the rights management system
Research technical accounting guidance and prepare internal technical accounting memoranda, as needed
Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Production, Tax, and Sales to ensure alignment and effective information flow
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Evaluate existing processes and recommend, develop, and drive improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
Review and analyze reporting packages from foreign subsidiaries
Build trust and credibility with senior leadership through clear, concise communication
Qualification
Required
3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
Experience operating in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Effective verbal and written communication
Preferred
CPA
Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
SAP experience
