Donor Telerecruiter
ARUP Laboratories is a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory and an enterprise of the University of Utah. The Donor Telerecruiter is responsible for recruiting blood and platelet donors, maintaining donor records, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Recruits blood and platelet donors via telephone or other means
Schedules donors and updates donor records accurately
Maintains appointment schedules
Recognizes and appropriately escalates potential problems or donor issues to management
Maintains basic knowledge of the blood and platelet donation process
Communicates blood and platelet donation information to potential donors
Effectively answers basic questions about donating blood and the community blood supply
Refers medical questions to appropriate Blood Services staff
Knowledgeable about special patient needs and requests and how to recruit appropriate donors to meet those needs
Utilizes Itsy/Engage and other software as required to recruit and maintain donor records
Maintains established productivity metrics
Maintains donor and patient confidentiality at all times
Assists with promotional activities for Blood Services as assigned
May attend special events to educate and promote blood donation in the community

Qualification
Required

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
Mobility: The person in this position needs to move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
Communicate: Frequently communicate with others
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
