Administrative Associate III - Student Affairs Administrative Associate (Internal Applicants Only)

LEMIT - Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas is seeking an Administrative Associate III for the Division of Student Affairs. This role involves performing complex administrative duties, supporting multiple departments, and managing day-to-day office needs at the Conroe Health Professions Building Campus.

Responsibilities

Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff
Schedules appointments and activities
Reviews, revises, and interprets policies and procedures
Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports
Attends meetings and take notes
Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes documents and correspondence
Orders and maintains supply inventory
Handles P-Card purchases and monitors expenses
Utilizes the electronic medical records system (EMR) used by the Student Health and Counseling center to schedule student visits at this location
Supports the Disability Services staff onsite with proctoring and scheduling as needed
Serves as the primary liaison between administrative support staff for main campus Student Affairs department and this satellite Student Affairs location
Manages day-to-day office suite needs and communications
Coordinates schedules and supervises student staff supporting the departments in the office suite
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Associates degree in related field
Four years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field
A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered
Must be a current Sam Houston State University employee in order to be considered for this position
Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions
Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices
Must be able to use standard office software
Proficient in the use of the electronic medical records system (EMR)
Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature
Strong organizational and customer service skills needed
