Responsibilities
Perform geotechnical and materials testing in accordance with applicable ASTM, AASHTO, and Department of Transportation procedures
Provide day-to-day technical guidance and support to laboratory technicians
Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules, guidelines, and company policies. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment and demonstration of safety practices
Assist with the calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory equipment under the direction of the Laboratory Manager
Responsible for maintaining and procuring CMEC, USACE, and FDOT certification for ASTM and AASHTO procedures
Maintain and organize project samples and equipment
Support laboratory compliance efforts, including preparation and organization of records for audits and inspections
Perform technician audits and reviews
Qualification
Required
High School graduate
3+ years' experience in the field of laboratory testing related to geotechnical and materials testing
ACI, CTQP, FDOT Lab certifications
Preferred
Familiarity with laboratory data entry software (e.g., QEST lab, gINT, Metafield, etc.)
