Part-Time SHINE Program Administrative/Office Support Specialist 1
The Town of Needham is seeking passionate individuals to fill the temporary, part-time positions of Administrative/Office Support Specialist 1 with the MetroWest Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone (SHINE) Program. The individuals in this role will provide administrative assistance and operational support to the SHINE Program Coordinator and Assistant Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities
Provides administrative and operational support including assisting in scheduling and coordinating needs for monthly SHINE counselor meetings
Helps to develop relevant training materials and researches program and service delivery methods
Supports the monitoring and evaluation of programs and services; researches program and service delivery methods; conveys information to the SHINE Program Coordinator and SHINE Assistant Program Coordinator
Maintains program records in a confidential manner and assists SHINE Program Coordinator and SHINE Assistant Program Coordinator in preparing required reports
Triages incoming calls relating to counselors’ inquiries and consumer requests for assistance, escalating when necessary
Provides administrative support for community presentations on Medicare issues
Provides effective and efficient customer service and promotes and maintains responsive community relations with program participants and community partners
Qualification
Required
Completion of four (4) years of high school or equivalent
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience
Comfortable using standard office equipment including computers and relevant software programs
Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
Ability to communicate with a variety of community members; LGBTQ+ affirming, multi-culturally competent, and committed to anti-racism and anti-discrimination work
